History
NEE was founded a few games into Toronto FC's inaugural season by a handful of season ticket holders in section 127 who wanted to recreate the atmosphere found in the southend of BMO. When it all began, 127 was an all seating, corn on the cob eating, no chanting section where people were told to sit down and yelled at for chanting. Slowly but surely, by the end of the season, the section became all standing, the chanting was organized, and the FO allowed us to bring in flags, drums, megaphones, and organize tifos.
What's in a Name
NEE stands for the Northend Elite. Initially, it was just a cool name the founding members agreed upon. As time progressed, our members have lived up to the name and then some. In less than half a season of existence, we managed to put on the first succesful self organized, self funded, self created tifo in Toronto FC history, our large jersey. Since then, we've surpassed the jersey and put on bigger and better displays. We're proud to claim that in less than a years time, that NEE is one of the premiere supporter groups in the MLS visually.
